Sri Lanka's cricket selectors are apparently "distressed and disappointed" with batsman Marvan Atapattu's comments calling the selectors "muppets headed by a joker."
And they have allowed Atapattu to continue with the tour. That's strange, and I think Atapattu managed to split the committee by not categorising everyone as muppets or as jokers!
But for impact I would anyday prefer Mohinder Amarnath's comments about two decades back when he called the selectors "a bunch of jokers." That's more to the point!
The media might be disappointed, but at least the current team of Indian selectors should be grateful to Rahul Dravid for saying 'No comments.'

srirama - i personally thought it was a brilliant statement by Atapattu - and needs to be said now and then. how else can selectors be held accountable. freedom of speech, i feel.
:)
and good timing too, after he scored a 50!!
